A unique desk that seeks to combine the use of new technology with traditional techniques of fine woodworking. Handcrafted, self-locking joinery helps reinforce the frame by creating perfectly fitted assemblies. The nylon shims are printed with selective laser sintering. They allow for the top of the structure to float from its base, an allegory of the mutualistic, symbiotic relationship of the craftsman and the machine.
