Alexis
Perron-Corriveau
—
Alexis is a french-canadian product designer and furniture maker. With more than six years of experience in furniture making, he graduated from École d’Ébénisterie d’Art de Montréal (EEAM) in 2017. He pursued his studies with a bachelor’s in product design and architecture at the University of Québec in Montréal (UQAM) and then completed a Master’s in design for Luxury and Craftsmanship at ECAL in Switzerland.
With a background in design and fine woodworking he collaborated with many international brands to develop distinctive products. Alexis seeks to explore a world where new technologies establish a rapport with manual work to create unique, timeless objects. A way to highlight the inherent value of craftsmanship in a world where digital and machine work dominates. A critical look at contemporary society drowned in consumerism, instantaneity and planned obsolescence motivates Alexis to think of design as a generator of change. A response to the challenges of material culture that offers alternatives and generates forward thinking.
Specializing in industrial design and ideation, 3D modeling and rendering, Alexis brings a hands-on, sculptural approach to objects and accessories. Based in Portugal, he co-founded Paloceras, where he focuses on designing eyewear with character, texture and strong identity. He also continues to work on creative projects across fashion and product design, always looking for new ways to turn ideas into striking, tangible pieces.
